1.       The purpose of the conference.

2.       Choosing a topic.

3.       Choosing the speakers

A speaker should have:

ü  Degree of prestige.

ü  Recognition in his field

ü  Have knowledge of the subject

ü  Facility of language.

4.       Briefing the speaker on the objectives of the symposium and the procedures to be observed.
